Academic Program Coordinator
Location: Northbrook, IL-based office with a hybrid working structure
Salary Range: $60,000-$70,000
Experience: 3-5 years of experience; Prior administrative experience strongly preferred

ABOUT THE GW PROGRAM
Created through a partnership between The iCenter and the George Washington University, with generous support from the Marcus Foundation, the Graduate Degree in Israel Education is the first of its kind to be offered at a major university in the U.S. It brings together cohorts of Jewish educators, leaders and changemakers providing them the inspiration and strategies to place Israel Education at the heart of Jewish communal life. The program is rooted in a learner-centered philosophy, both in its academic teaching and its professional practice. The people, which includes the students, faculty, and staff, and their relationships are the key to the success of this program.

ROLE OVERVIEW
As the Academic Program Coordinator for the GW program, you’ll serve in a vital administrative and support role while ensuring an excellent student experience from recruitment to alumni support. The Academic Program Coordinator will liaise between GW and The iCenter, while supporting key program functions such as admissions, online course logistics, in-person seminars, and communication with students. The Academic Program Coordinator plays an essential role in ensuring and maintaining the culture of the GW program. In addition, this position will play a fundamental role in educational experience planning and production, which may include coordinating event logistics, collaborating with internal teams to support executing educational experiences, and other administrative tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE
Your role includes but is not limited to:
Supporting the Admissions Workflow by reviewing applications, sending interview notifications, contacting applicants, liaising with the Admissions Office of GW’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development, managing all data input to Salesforce, and other tasks as needed.
Managing information systems, including courses on Zoom, migrating data to Salesforce, and overseeing Canvas (learning management system) and additional online course logistics on behalf of the program.
Handling student communication related to course registration, financial assistance, seminars, Canvas, and other details as needed.
Collaborating with the Program Director and Educational Experience Producer to support the execution of in-person seminars, including assisting students with travel, hotel, and dietary needs, creating and being an integral part of the Opening Colloquium experience, November seminar, March seminar, and other event production needs that may arise.
Administrative and support tasks with the Experience team, which may include helping coordinate event logistics, hands-on event setup, and collaborating with internal teams to execute experiences.
Other administrative and support tasks assigned within other areas of The iCenter, as needed.

TIME COMMITMENT
This position will require in-person attendance and overnight stays for The GW in-person experiences. GW in-person events occur in March, August, and November in Chicago and/or Washington, DC. This position may also require occasional attendance at other iCenter educational experiences to support experience production.

Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and highly detail-oriented while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Self-motivated and able to initiate and move forward independently with tasks
Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently
Team-oriented and collaborative with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
Experience with systems and data management is a plus
